The development of a beautiful, deep, and resonant tone quality is an important goal for young violinists. The study of tone production (beyond the basic bow speed, bow weight, and contact point proportions) can unlock a student’s self-expression, sensitivity to sound, imagination, and creativity. When children learn to play from within, artistry is nurtured and the study of music shapes one’s character.
