Mimi Zweig is Professor of Violin and Director of the Indiana University String Academy at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she has served on the faculty since 1976. Recognized internationally as one of the leading figures in string pedagogy, she has influenced generations of teachers and students through her innovative and highly respected teaching approach.
A student of Louis Krasner, Raphael Bronstein, Tadeusz Wroński, and Samuel Kissel, Mimi has combined a distinguished performing background with a lifelong commitment to teaching. She has developed pre-college string programs throughout the United States and has presented master classes and pedagogy workshops across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Israel.
