Kateryna Zavalko is a violin teacher, researcher, and teacher educator based in Kyiv, Ukraine. She holds a Doctorate in Pedagogy and teaches at Children’s Music School No. 4 in Kyiv.
She is the author of more than 90 scholarly publications and several books on music education, teacher development, and children’s violin pedagogy. Her work focuses on innovative approaches to music teaching, professional development for music educators, and effective methods for young string players.
A certified Colourstrings teacher, Kateryna is also the creator of the Ukrainian educational project Music for Children. Her research and teaching combine practical classroom experience with a strong commitment to educational innovation and the artistic development of young musicians.
